Boat Hire, Harbour Cruise and Charter Services | Our vessel 'Osprey' is a 22 metre Catamaran surveyed for 180 passengers, although the maximum for charters is 150 with closer to 120 being best. With 90% of deck space under cover, options such as a dance floor can be accommodated.
'Osprey' is in SSM (Safe Ship Management), we are a member to the Marine Transport Association and the Coastguard Service.
Our Auckland Boat Charters range from a short two hour harbour cruise to a four hour inner harbour cruise going under the harbour bridge, up to Greenhithe and Herald Island. For the more ambitious day long cruise, we can motor to Kawau or Pakatoa Island.
The Boat Charter rate is $790 (inclusive GST) an hour (Guests on board or cruising, for a minimum of 2 hours). A Standby Charge of $395 (inclusive GST) per hour (for a minimum of 2 hours) may apply in some delivery voyages.
About the weather In the event of changeable weather don't worry the party continues! 'Osprey' is very stable and protects you well from the elements. Just remind your guests to bring warm clothing in winter.
Decorations/Themes During the Christmas season the boat is decorated for the festivities. At any other time we are happy to assist you in organising decorations or themes.
Guest arrival, parking and departure Guests usually begin boarding 15 minutes before departure, but don't worry we will not leave without anyone. We usually board guests at Pier 3, between the Ferry Buildings and Princes Wharf on Quay Street. We recommend the Downtown Carpark but most of our guests do prefer to travel by taxi or bus.
Drinks/Bar Service 'Osprey' has a full bar and is available on either a bar tab or cash bar basis. Our bar list has a great variety and quality of wine from $20 a bottle. Our beers range from $4.00 to $6. Non alcoholic drinks are also available and your favourite coffees brewed from fresh beans. Please contact us for a full bar list.
Music/Dance Floor 'Osprey' has a dance floor on the top deck. We are pleased to be able to offer you a DJ for a contribution of $400 and we will pay the rest. The DJ will contact you to ensure that your individual tastes are catered for. Please note that this offer applies to all continuous charters of 4 hours. Any other charters can be negotiated.
